Zhu Bixin met with Mercuria Energy Group Chairman

On November 21, the Group’s President Zhu Bixin met with Chairman and co-founder of Mercuria Energy Group Marco Dunand, co-founder Daniel Jaeggi and Director and President of Asian division Han Jin in Switzerland. The two sides held in-depth discussion about future cooperation. The Group’s Vice President Li Yousheng attended the meeting.
Zhu Bixin introduced the history of China Chengtong, its current development, the development direction and key tasks as China’s state-owned capital operating company, and information about China Structural Reform Fund. He stated that Mercuria Energy Group was one of the world’s leading energy and commodity trading companies, with the annual turnover of over billions of US dollars, exerting a strong influence on global energy trade. There is a solid foundation for cooperation between China Chengtong and Mercuria Energy Group. In the future, China Chengtong would like to deepen its cooperation with Mercuria Energy Group in investment, commodity trading, warehousing logistics, and asset management to achieve win-win development.
Marco Dunand extended his warm welcome to Zhu Bixin and the delegation, and provided a comprehensive introduction of Mercuria Energy Group’s history, business model, corporate culture, investment strategy, business focus, human resources etc. He stated that China has been playing a more and more important role in leading the global energy and commodity trading market and Mercuria Energy Group had full confidence in China’s future economic development. Mercuria Energy Group would continue to focus on investment in China, and in particular hoped to conduct more in-depth cooperation with China Chengtong in investment and mergers and acquisitions, commodity trading, warehousing, transportation, asset management and international business expansion in order to achieve common development.
